CINEMA AND DEBATE AT THE MUVIM
Ace in the Hole (Billy Wilder, 1951)
XII SEASON OF INTERGENERATIONAL CINEMA. RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS II
Free activity
Alcohol addiction has put to one side Charles Tatum, a sleazy journalist, now working in a little newspaper in New Mexico. Right when his career seems to be definitely down and out, a native miner gets trapped in the tunnel of a mine of the region. Tatum will have no doubt to plot with local sheriff to turn the rescue into a great show that will help him to success again in the world of journalism. At any cost.
