This performance stemmed from two main research lines: the research on the borders like a two-pronged experience- safety on the one side and danger and helplessness on the other, along with their endless possibilities – and the exploration of all those non-verbal languages which contribute to the development of individual character.

A boundless freedom, which goes beyond our own limits and can rekindle our mind. It is here where we can reinterpret our ideas, our rules and conceptions. For some people living without constraints is the right attitude, for some others is uncertain, for others it is just as possibility and finally there are people who do not dread to consider it.

“The mind is like a consciousness which imposes constraints on us when actually we are unlimited and perfect in origin.” Sri Ramana Maharshi.

Budapest Dance Theatre is one of the main Hungarian companies of contemporary dance. It was founded by Bela Földi in 1991.

Throughout their 27 years of career, the company has performed in a great number of festivals around Europe (Italy, France, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Poland and the Czech Republic). In the last years the company has also been present in the international stage performing in Mexico and the island of Réunion in their ongoing quest for new audiences around the world.

Budapest Dance Theatre has a wide repertoire with 10 different styles of performance and 5 shows for children.

The company has collaborated with renowned choreographers such as Jiri Pokorny (NDT), Gustavo Ramírez (NDT), Fernando Troia (NDT) and Joseph Tmim (Batsheva Danse Company).
